Note: These actions can only be performed by a Charity Administrators and Charity Managers.
Adding Gift Aid to a donation
Navigate to your Payments Report
Open Payments and use the filters to locate the payment you want to add Gift Aid to
In Payment Details, you'll see Add
Confirm that the donation is definitely eligible for Gift Aid
If you add Gift Aid to a donation and you use Enthuse to claim Gift Aid, the donation will be included in your next available claim
Removing Gift Aid from a donation
Navigate to your Payments Report
Open Payments and use the filters to locate the payment you want to remove Gift Aid from
In Payment Details, you'll see Remove
When Gift Aid can be added and removed
If you're a Charity Administrator or Charity Manager and you can't see the Add or Remove option for a donation, this will be because the donation has been included in a Gift Aid report, or a monthly payout from Enthuse.
If this is the case and you need to update a donation:
Contact HMRC to arrange repayment (if you need to remove Gift Aid)
Submit your own Gift Aid claim (if you need to add Gift Aid)
