How to set up a Christmas Tree Recycling "Treecycling" campaign

Set up a checkout where your supporters can make a donation towards your Christmas tree recycling campaign.

Follow these steps to set up a checkout where your supporters can make a donation to get their Christmas tree recycled.

Click Manage > Event pages in the Enthuse menu.


Click Add new

Select a fundraising target or no fundraising target required
Select Appeal > Continue

Enter your campaign title and event details then click Continue

Upload a banner image (maximum 435px wide x 200px high) and click Continue

Choose your web address and click Continue

After the preview, click Finish


You will be re-directed back to the Event pages page.

  • Click Settings (at the top)

  • Click My Custom Fields

  • Click Add New

  • Create your custom fields e.g. what is your address? What time would you like us to collect your Christmas tree?

  • For more details on creating custom fields, click here.

  • Once you have created your custom fields, return to Manage > Event pages

  • Click Edit checkout

  • Select Taking Donations

  • Enter your checkout title

  • Enter your payment page URL

  • Enter a reference code (this will help you identify donations in the reports)

  • Click Next

  • Untick gift aid if it is not eligible for your campaign

  • Enter the donation value for the "Treecycling" campaign e.g. £10

  • Enter a description

  • You can untick monthly, quarterly and yearly options

  • Click Next

  • Step 3: Brand your Page - branding can be updated

  • Click Next

  • Under Step 4 assign your custom fields to the checkout

  • You can also add a thank you message to the donation receipt and provide further details on the collection.

  • Click Next

  • Click Finish
