I haven't received my first 2SV text message after entering my phone number on the Enthuse 2SV login?

Sometimes due to high network traffic or spam filters, users won't receive the text message. There are some things you can try to improve the chances of receiving a code:

  1. Make sure you are somewhere with good phone signal

  2. Install the mobile app. Ask us to delete and re-add your Enthuse user account (email [email protected]), then set up 2SV with the Mobile App. You will still need to receive a one-off text message to activate the app the first time you use it

  3. Install the Authy App on your desktop. Ask us to delete and re-add your Enthuse user account (email [email protected]), then set up 2SV with the Desktop App. You will still need to receive a one-off text message to activate the app the first time you use it

  4. Check with your carrier: Some cell providers may actually be pretty helpful in diagnosing the problem if you ask. For example, some customers may not realise their phone plan default denies SMS from 'short codes' Authy may be using

  5. Try another number: If you don't get the token after several attempts, please use this form to update your number

2SV Codes suddenly not working

Why did I used to get 2SV codes via text message, but they have suddenly stopped working?

Authy's primary carriers for SMS and voice call verification / app registration are "best effort", which means they cannot guarantee reach to every phone worldwide. If you were able to receive SMS in the past but now cannot, your best solution is as follows:

  1. Ask us to delete and re-add your Enthuse user account (email [email protected])

  2. Click on the activation link in your email inbox

  3. Choose to setup 2SV with the Authy app when prompted on the login page

  4. Enter a temporary phone number when the 2SV setup requests a number (perhaps owned by a family member or friend)—you will receive a code to enter into the app

  5. Use the temporary phone number to complete the app activation—the app will ask if you want to get a text or a call to verify it

  6. Once you have the app installed and can access your tokens via the app, you may turn off multi-device to prevent access from other members of your family

  7. Update the phone number in the app later without delay

What can I do if I can't install the Authy app?

If you are having trouble installing Authy on your device we recommend using text messages to verify your account instead of the mobile app authentication. If you can't do that, try clicking here to see if there is another compatible device that you could download the Authy app on.
