What is 2-Step verification on Enthuse?

2-Step verification, or 2SV, (sometimes called 2 Factor Authentication or 2FA) is an extra layer of security used to protect your account.

2SV is an extremely important security update to our platform that is become widespread across technology platforms. Having a second form of verification dramatically reduces the risk of someone hacking your account by getting access to your email address.

Can I verify using email?

No this is not an option. The purpose of 2SV is to reduce the reliance on having email as the single point of verification for your account. If you could verify using email then if somebody had access to your email account they would still be able to access your details. Using a phone or app prevents this from happening, keeping your charity and your supporters' data safe.

Can you disable 2SV on my account?

No. 2SV is there to protect our platform and your data.

2SV is only beneficial if all of users are required to enable it.

What if I don't have a company phone I can use for 2SV?
