About the Partnership

Why have London Marathon Events chosen to partner with Enthuse?

LME was looking for a fundraising partner that would provide the best possible service for charities, participants and their donors, and the extended partnership provides certainty for charities planning the future growth of their third-party events programmes. The new long term agreement, till 2034, comes as a result of the successful partnership that has been in place between LME and Enthuse since 2022. This has seen more than £60 million raised already for charities through Enthuse’s official platform for the TCS London Marathon. This includes more than £30 million in world record fundraising at the 2024 event alone. LME believes Enthuse provides the best possible service for charities, participants and donors

The Enthuse integration with LME’s registration process delivers automatic page creation as participants sign up for events, saving time for charities and supporters. The integration provides full access to real-time fundraising and donations data. And fundraising pages are exclusively integrated with LME’s official event apps, so that supporters tracking a participant can easily donate.

Enthuse is the official online fundraising partner across LME’s full event portfolio, including the Bath Half, Brighton Marathon Weekend, TCS London Marathon, The Big Half, Swim Serpentine, Vitality Westminster Mile and Vitality London 10,000, as well as all new LME events in the future.

Who is Enthuse?

As Europe’s leading charity-first fundraising platform, Enthuse was founded in 2012 with a mission to transform digital fundraising by putting charities first. Specialising in digital donation, fundraising, and event registration technology - all under your charity’s brand - the Enthuse platform helps organisations strengthen supporter relationships and achieve financial stability through a personalised, consistent experience.

How does Enthuse differ from other fundraising platforms?

Enthuse is a B2B platform, which means we put charities first – quite literally with an individual charity’s brand and logo at the forefront of official LME fundraising pages. We believe this is a better experience for supporters than offered by consumer platforms and means the fundraising pages that participants share with family, friends and peers create a network brand awareness effect for each charity.

Enthuse puts charities in control of their own data and marketing communications, and never emails supporters with details of competing fundraising campaigns. It also commits to never resell a charity’s data.

What are the benefits of using Enthuse?

Higher Page Values: Charities using Enthuse for their entire fundraising journey saw an average page value of £2800 in 2024.

Immediate, Seamless Page Creation: Enthuse makes fundraising easier and more effective by integrating fundraising page creation with the event registration process. This simplifies setup, allowing participants to start fundraising immediately.

Exclusive App Integration: Enthuse is the only platform directly integrated with all London Marathon event apps. Fundraising pages on Enthuse receive donations directly via these apps, making it easier for supporters to donate on the event day.

Branding and Customisation: Your charity’s branding takes centre stage, enhancing awareness and supporter loyalty. You can also customise the donation checkout with tailored donation options and impact descriptions to maximise donation values.

No Setup or Subscription Fees: There are no additional setup or subscription costs for your charity to use Enthuse for London Marathon Events. For more details, visit this link:

How can we encourage our fundraisers to choose Enthuse over other fundraising platforms?

It’s simple! When participants register for an event through a London Marathon Events website or event registration platform, a fundraising page is automatically created for them on the official fundraising platform. No need for them to create another account, everything is ready to go so they can start fundraising sooner and raise more.

Additionally, Enthuse offers a wealth of features. Fundraisers can share updates, photos, and videos with their supporters or even live-stream directly on their fundraising page.

Our deeper integration with London Marathon Events means your participants have a seamless fundraising page set up, with exclusive event day app access and in-app notifications from the event organiser - making fundraising an integral part of participation.

Most fundraisers are happy to follow the charity's lead when it comes to choosing where to fundraise, so by adding your branding and messaging to your event profile, your charity’s presence will be front and centre. And that has an important impact with branded charity profiles raising up to 14% more.

Registration and support

Do charities have to register with Enthuse if they haven’t partnered with them before?

Charities that haven’t partnered with us before need to complete the onboarding process in order to receive funds raised for their causes, as well as benefit from branded fundraising pages and real-time data.

The Enthuse registration process is very simple and can be completed here. The Enthuse team is always happy to help with onboarding.

As well as onboarding charities with places, we can also help if a participant requests that your charity is added as they wish to use their ballot or general entry place to fundraise for your cause. This could be a huge source of additional donations for your charity.

Our Help Centre is full of resources & guidance - we recommend starting out with our Mass Participation Events collection.

What’s the registration process for charities already onboarded with Enthuse?

There’s nothing you need to do if you’ve fundraised via Enthuse for your previous events, your charity will be automatically added to the official profiles for future events. You can find these from within your Enthuse back office by heading to Manage > Connected Platforms

If you can’t see an event in this list or haven’t used Enthuse for your third party events, get in touch and we can get you added.

Fees and payments

Is there a subscription fee for using Enthuse for London Marathon Events fundraising?

No, there is no subscription fee.

Does Enthuse use tipping or donor fee cover?

LME and Enthuse are using tipping.

For each £10 donated, how much will our charity receive?

Enthuse charges 1.9 per cent plus 30p per transaction to cover the cost of the card fee. There is a small additional fee for processing Gift Aid on behalf of the charity. This is 5 per cent of the Gift Aid value only. For every £10 donated with Gift Aid, you will receive £12.15, i.e. 121.5% of the donated amount.

How long will it take for the donations to reach the charity after the fundraising event?

We process payouts to charities on a monthly basis. Payments are sent between the 16th and 20th of each month, covering donations received during the previous month. For example, donations collected in April will be paid out between 16th-20th May. This process ensures that funds reach the charity in a timely manner after a fundraising event.

For charities using Stripe Connect, donations are paid out automatically every Monday. Any donation is held for seven calendar days before it becomes eligible for payout. After this period, the donation is included in the following Monday’s payout. For instance, if a donation is made on Thursday 1st, it will be held until Thursday 8th and then paid out on Monday 12th. It may then take an additional 3-5 days to appear in the charity's bank account, depending on the bank’s processing time.

Fundraising

What do we tell our fundraisers who are looking to set up a fundraising page?

There are two ways to set up a page: during registration and via your event profile page.

For charity place participants a fundraising page is created for them automatically when they complete their registration, and they’ll be redirected to it straight away. , They can also access their fundraising page via their LDT participant dashboard and through their emails

Own place participants are also given the option to create their page during registrations, but if they missed that option you can direct them to your charity profile for their event where they can select ‘fundraise for us’.

Charities can sign up for pre-console registration to encourage earlier page creation, customise fundraiser emails for each stage (registration, fundraising, event journey), and manage demand with built-in waitlists and secure payments directly on the platform.

Note: If a fundraiser already has an Enthuse page before they register, we won’t create a second one - so you can feel confident in promoting either option

What if my participant has created a page on Enthuse before completing their entry – will they be asked to create another fundraising page?

If a user with the same email address has an existing fundraising page on the official event platform, they will be asked if they wish to create a new page or simply link their existing one. Charities should therefore feel confident that they can ask their charity place participants to start fundraising on the official fundraising platform right away if they wish.

What emails do fundraisers receive during their fundraising journey?

Fundraisers receive behaviour-driven emails to support their journey and tactical emails branded with the event organiser's and charity's logos to keep them informed and motivated.

How can fundraisers use Enthuse fundraising pages to raise more?

Fundraisers can take some simple steps:

  1. Upload a profile picture to raise 10 times more

  2. Set a fundraising target and make a donation to the page to get their fundraising started

  3. Customise the story section to explain why they are taking part and raising money for the cause

  4. Share the page on social media, email and Whatsapp, as well as ask others to do the same

  5. Upload photos, videos and live stream to encourage interaction

  6. Download the official TCS London Marathon app or any other London Marathon Events app and encourage friends and family to do the same. It’s the easiest way to track participants and donate on event weekend.

Can participants fundraise for multiple charities with Enthuse?
