Which Business Registration Documents do we accept for Stripe Payments?

As part of Stripe's Know Your Customer (KYC) checks, they require us to submit a Business Registration Document to verify your charity. The accepted documents vary by country.

Please see below for which documents we can accept for this.

Note:
1. This must be a colour PDF or JPEG
2. Copies (including photos or scans) of documents cannot be read, we need an original digital document. A digital document is a readable document that is paperless in its original form.
An example of this is a certificate that is received as a PDF via email.

UK Accepted Business Registration Documents

  • VAT Registration

  • Certificate of Incorporation

  • Companies House Document

    • Search for your organisation on the Companies House website, go to "Filing History" and download the "Confirmation Statement"

  • HM Revenue and Customs: VAT Certificate

  • HM Revenue and Customs: Account Statement

  • Charity Commission Document

  • OSCR Scottish Charity Regulator letter e.g. "Notice on decision of charitable status"


Republic of Ireland Accepted Business Registration Documents

  • VAT Registration

  • Certificate of Registration

  • Partnership Agreement

  • Certificate of Incorporation

  • Articles of Association

  • An Oifig um Chlárú Cuideachtaí (Companies Registration Office) (Commercial Register Extract)
